About Us:

The Sherburne Wheelers organized in 2004 in an effort to obtain trails to legally ride. Alex “Lex” Danyluk, Jr., with the help of a few friends, formed a club which now has a very cohesive Board of Directors, consisting of 12 members; and club/business members of over 100. The Club became incorporated and has grown tremendously.

Sherburne Wheelers ATV Club, Inc. is committed to promoting safe, fun, family riding; and support of our community. We pride ourselves in establishing and maintaining an enjoyable trail system with a goal of connecting our trail system to other communities.

In 2005, the Club collected and sent 3,000 lbs. of food, 18 cases of water and 36 bags of clothing and stuffed animals to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. The Club participates in local parades; sponsors a toy drive at Christmas to help local children. When needed, the Club delivers food for the local food pantry, God’s Bread II.

In 2007, our Club founded Bike Night at Gilligan’s Island (one of our business members). It evolved into a huge, successful event which enables us to raise money to assist with travel expenses for people who are going for cancer treatment. Thanks to Mirabito Fuel Group (another one of our Business Members) we are able to purchase gas cards at a 3% discount! At Bike Night 2008, we met and teamed up with Kendra Ives, Cancer Support Coordinator, of the Chenango Health Network. Together we are working on a Chemo Cap Project.

Currently, the Sherburne Wheelers Board Member, John Cordick, is the Region 7 Representative of NYSORVA (New York State Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle Association). Lex is the Alternate Representative of Region 7. Club member, Crystal Paino, is the secretary.

All 9 regions, as recognized by Albany, are represented. NYSORVA is striving to obtain a multi-use, statewide trail system.

Finally, our voice is heard in Albany! For more information, visit www.nysorva.org.

Our Club is also a member of Chenango County Sportsmen’s federation. John Fuller, Vice President, is liaison and has also been elected Vice President of Chenango County Sportsmen’s Federation.
